Lionfish lovers!! I’ll be at the Tera Cora Ranch tomorrow Saturday April 25th from 15:00 to 21:00 with my lionfish creations and jewelry! There will be a small market, food and drinks to buy and some entertainments! See you there 🙌🏼🥰

After a long wait… it was finally time for the Lionfish Derby 2026 and 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐓! It is great to see new teams joining and returning teams continue to support us in controlling the lionfish population. 💪

The results for this year, speaks for themselves. We have broken the record from total fish caught in 2024 (508 lionfish) with 565 lionfish caught this year :o.

A special thanks goes out to Laura from Lionfish Creations Bonaire for her generous donation of prizes, the team of Dive 1st Aid for the donation of the Sting Master (topical ointment that blocks the pain caused by lionfish venom or jellyfish stings at the source), and of course all Lionfish Derby 2026 participants and our team! 🙏

Yesterday Stinapa organized a lionfish derby in the Washington Slagbaai national park. The idea was to let 15 teams of 2 hunters and 1 spotter to kill as many lionfish as possible in the park. All together more than 500 fish were removed from Bonaire’s water! I created 3 « prizes » for the winners in the 3 different categories: the biggest fish, the smallest fish and the most fish. I’m quite pleased with the result! What do you think?

Kom naar de gezellige Paasmarkt bij Animal Shelter! 🐾🐰

Op zondag 29 maart, van 09:00 tot 14:00 uur, organiseren we een leuke markt bij het shelter met allerlei lokale verkopers en activiteiten voor het hele gezin.

Je vindt er onder andere glas-in-lood kunst, handgemaakte sieraden van lionfish, vers gebakken hondensnacks, tweedehands duikmateriaal en heerlijke homemade sweets van Avory & Elena. Ook zijn Blaf Bonaire en Bondog aanwezig voor al je vragen over hondentraining, kun je genieten van lekkers uit Mama Anneke’s keuken en nog veel meer.

Voor de kinderen is er een kids corner met schminken en een springkussen.
