Working through a selection of Coober Pedy Opal.
White base, Crystal, Doublets & a custom 'shark tooth' shaped piece made up this week.

Plenty more Coober Pedy pieces to come!

Mintabie, South Australia.
Australian Solid Opal.
Love the variety of material that comes from Mintabie, but it is my most challenging material. So many adjustments to try and avoid the sand and potch on the stones.
The few stones that turn out really pop a bright flash of colours though!

Very happy with finishing up these smaller matrix opal pieces from Andamooka, SA.

Most are Red/Blue dominant on front and back of the stones.
Some of the best colour that I've seen in 2 years of working with this type of material.

Anyone want to put these into some silver jewellery? 🤔

Playing with some older Coober stock that has been sitting around for almost a year!
Beautiful white opal, all cut to freeform shape to try and get the most out of the colour showing in the pieces.
I'm finally getting around to cutting them.
20 stones done so far, 100+ to go... 😬
