This opal ring features a boulder opal that was mined by our team in Jundah, Western Queensland. It has an elegant orange flash of colour beaming through.

Boulder opals are uniquely found in Queensland, making them very authentic and unique.

It is set in 9ct, and has a spessartite garnet on either side. The orange of the garnets compliment the orange flash in the opal, making it a very appealing piece.

Our team initially mined this boulder opal from Jundah, Western Queensland. I then set it in a sterling silver, crafting a pendant.

Unrelated, I later beaded the moonstone and amazonite necklace.

The pendant and necklace, though lovely as they were separately, seemed like they were meant to be for each other when I placed them down next to each other.

I then attached the pendant. The blue hues of either piece complimented each other perfectly, creating a light earthy feel.

The result is a beautiful handcrafted jewellery piece, which now awaits its new owner.

This ring was customised upon request for a client. She approached me with a cross of low-quality metal containing an opal triplet, as well as a 9ct rose gold ring featuring an unattractive rough gem to which the client found . Hence, this ring was collecting dust.

She created the idea of swapping the unattractive gem with the opal from her cross.

The result is a very wearable and beautiful opal ring. The client was very pleased with the result, ensuring that she now can make regular use of her jewellery.
