For 40 years Jon De Jonge has designed and created elegant, timeless jewellery from his workshop in Hobart, Tasmania. Jon is a true artist of the craft, and his work has long been recognised for its beauty of design and unique craftsmanship. As Jon begins to enjoy a well-earned retirement, his technique is passed down to a new generation through daughter Emma, and the family tradition continues to thrive. The entwined hearts ring 💙

I work in cyber security full time and De Jonge Jewellery is my other job that I love so much. I wish I had more time for designing but with 3 sons and a busy life, this is one of the only original designs I have made so far. It’s not perfect, but it’s my creation and I’m very proud of it 😊 My inspiration came from my sister Sarah’s wonderful work in 1000 Hearts 💙

Hobart Rose musings…

There’s something undeniably special about the rose gold Hobart Rose rings.

Perhaps it’s because rose gold is just so lovely and romantic with its pink-tinted hue.

Or perhaps it’s because Dad created the original Hobart Rose using a secret technique he developed himself, which means that this little rose is completely unlike any other.

Whatever the reason, there’s a certain magic in these rings that never fades.
