Smoky Lemurian Quartz from Serra do Cabral, Brazil.

With their golden-brown hues and beautiful optical clarity these smoky quartz come from the legendary Serra do Cabral mountains in Minas Gerais, Brazil, mined around 2019.

The faces display the iconic, raised horizontal ladder striations—often called the “Lemurian barcodes.” In crystal lore, these unique markings are believed to hold ancient, encoded wisdom.

Stunning amethyst clusters from Kattumunnur, Karur District, Tamil Nadu, India.

Amethyst specimens from this locality have a distinctive growth habit forming beautiful, rosettes and flowers. They also exhibit highly saturated violet or grape-purple tips and tiny inclusions of hematite and rutile, adding to their uniqueness.

Two mineral variants from the Xia Yang Mine, Yongchun County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China.

The first is a quartz with hydrozincite and aragonite. When you turn off the lights and shine a shortwave ultraviolet light on them, the hydrozincite comes alive with a blue glow and the aragonite with a vivid green glow. The perfect example of how hidden mineral chemistry can completely transform under different lighting conditions.

The second variety is an octahedral fluorite specimen covered in a sugar druzy with beautiful calcite. The fluorite crystals are completely coated in a delicate “sugar coating” of sparkling druzy quartz, almost good enough to eat and to top it off, beautifully structured calcite crystals nestle into the matrix, creating an incredible contrast of textures and forms. These are a true masterpiece of natural architecture and are also highly UV reactive.
