I love the wonder of the story behind an item who was the person who loved this before us? Was it a gift full of love or heartfelt thanks? Engaging the children in the story of these repurposed items will encourage them to connect with the resource; this will bring a shared respect and broaden their understanding of the world they live in. What better way to breathe new life into an item, by being

part of the next generation’s play, to spark their curiosity and open up their minds to a world of creativity, imagination and diversity. My hope is that these resources connect your service, families and children to build relationships with the past and become part of embedding sustainability for the future.

Thank you to our returning families and new family that joined us at Wildflowers play session today. We used a lot of recycled and natural resources in our play, that supports our creativity and imagination. What a beautiful day to be outdoors enjoying nature and the sunshine 🌻
Veggiefruit thanks again for the big box, the children loved hopping inside to paint, and it made for a good background for our recycled painting wall, they also enjoyed the passionfruits and golden kiwifruit 🥝

This week's experiences were planned with "World Environment Day" (Fri 05.06.26) in mind. After the session I noticed just how sustainable our sessions are. We only had a small amount of rubbish and 95% of that goes into compost, the only rubbish that went in the bin was 5 wet Wipes, all water used is from the rain water tank and goes back onto the gardens. Feeling proud of Wildflowers Sustainable nature based play group that I have created 🌻🌏

There is still time to book for tomorrow's session 10am-12pm

CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 1 ARE FREE- USE CODE UNDER1 TO REDEEM.
1 child $25 for 2 hours, siblings $15.
The Wild Bunch class offers children aged 0–5 an engaging experience.
Tomorrow the radishes are ready to pick and hopefully eggs to collect.

The weather looks perfect for tomorrow, so come and spend the morning outside in the beautiful sunshine. Thursday 04.06.26.
We will have our newly renovated kitchen set up and running, sensory experiences, art experiences, and we still have ripe oranges on the tree ready to be picked 🍊

Great news families and children of Hervey Bay. Wildflowers Sustainable, nature-based play group is having a play session this Thursday 04.06.26. This will be our first session for winter, so come along and join in the messy, sensory, nature-inspired learning through play.
