Trying to wind back the clock.

Sometimes it's good to look back and reflect.

Both versions of me wishes she had more childfree friends. Both versions are still embarrassed taking photos of myself but if I don't, there's 0 record of my existence 😄

Not long after my 30th, I was fired from a job I didn't deserve to be fired from. All because my manager wanted her friend to have my job. I suffered so much PTSD from that. Not long after that, I moved interstate to the city of Melbourne which has been great but I do miss consistent warmth.

I had a career in events, now I mostly work in academic promotions for a university. I still have a husband who takes me away on lavish holidays.

I no longer need to worry about my hair getting oily midway through the day nor how for it to look pretty for a night out.

I like to think I look less like my mother thankfully, less of a round face. Still trying to fight the under eye lines.

I was an owner of a 4 bedroom house in the suburbs, now an owner of a 1 bedroom apartment in the city. I used to own 2 petrol cars, now 1 EV.

I love that I'm still Money and Lyla's mum 🐈 😻 🐈‍⬛️ 😺

I very rarely receive in person compliments, on this night I received 3. Perhaps Americans are more complimentary than Australians 🤔

Some really drunk woman said I was beautiful and told my husband to tell me every morning which of course never happened. The lady who brought over my drink complimented my eyeshadow which I was thrilled about as it's the first time using it. Then the lady who took my dinner order said she loved my hair - and I didn't say it was a wig - that's growth 😆

Drunk Jen made an appearance, she rarely shows herself but she's fun when she does!

This is the first holiday where I only wore Hair by V • Valerie Prontera and was entirely comfortable the entire 4 weeks. I took 15 flights and had 0 issues with security. I only ever have my wigs in my carry on, never ever in checked in. I don't bring any stands or tools. I store them in their silk bags and at times might use the hotel hairdryer to give them lift in the front.

I also chose to wear this shorty so I can shake it around at the gig!! It also hits anyone in the face who's too close to me 😆
