I’ve always loved jewellery that comes with a life behind it.

Pieces get worn, put away, rediscovered, layered differently, and brought back out for the right moment. Trends come and go. The pieces you return to are the ones that matter.

I still have pieces from the 90s and early 2000s that I bring back into rotation for the right occasion. Recently, I went to a touch of neon party and stacked my wrists with bracelets straight from my own collection. Zero regrets.

I’m old enough now that heirloom doesn’t just mean my great-grandmother’s or my mother’s jewellery. It also means mine. I’ve kept almost everything since I was a kid. And what I haven’t kept, I’ve gifted to friends’ daughters.

These days, heirloom doesn’t only mean inherited. It also means collected.

I love mixing old and new.
Timeless with modern.
Vintage with contemporary.
Costume with precious.

Skye and Rocket was born from that way of wearing jewellery. Not saving things for “best”.
