Sometimes, we need a dainty pair of earrings, with a little happy yellow in it to lift the day. They're a timely reminder to focus on the brighter side of life, because a visit from a yellow bird is seen as a calming, reassuring sign during difficult or stressful times.

Yellow birds themselves have a variety of meanings to different cultural groups. Canary in the coal mine? Perhaps a symbol to wear as a metaphor for detecting hidden danger or trusting your instincts.

A bit of a nod to the namesake with this Tudor Rose print, as it was a symbol of stability and unity in the Elizabethan era. I've modernised it up a tad with its long oval shape, hooks and arches that were handmade with black iron proquality wire.

Apparently 2026 marks the return of the brooch as a fashion accessory, including Kilt Pin Brooches. I have two available at the moment, with this one in a warm antique bronze, featuring a Swarovski Pearl drop, a geometric frosted glass bead and a little bronze glass drop. Sweet autumnal tones in this pair of wire and glass earrings. Its a really versatile set. Good neutrals in the amber and blues, with a tiny hint of colour in the green and pink glass beads.

Paper jewellery is actually quite solid. I make my works with layers of watercolour paper, file the edges and seal the whole piece with glaze and sometimes resin. These pieces are the lightest way to wear bigger pieces because you can have colour and reduce the load on your ears.
