D&E loved the shape and structure of our Signature Micheli Gabriella solitaire engagement ring, but didn’t want an emerald cut diamond.

They kept coming back to radiant cuts instead.

The problem is, most radiant settings lean softer and more rounded, which would have completely changed the feel of the ring they originally fell for.

So rather than changing the design entirely, we rebuilt the proportions around a 2.75ct radiant lab diamond while keeping the strong lines and architectural feel of the original setting.

Handcrafted in 18ct white gold, the final ring still feels clean and tailored, but with far more fire coming through the centre stone.

70 years ago, M’s grandmother bought this aquamarine with her very first pay cheque.

For decades, it stayed exactly as it was.

Then M came to us and asked the question a lot of people hesitate to ask with heirloom jewellery…

Can you completely change the design without losing the meaning?

The original setting felt too traditional for her style, so we stripped it back.

We reset the emerald-cut aquamarine east-to-west in solid Platinum, using a fine half-bezel. It keeps the ring low, clean, and architectural while letting light move freely through the stone.

Nothing about the sentiment changed. Just the way it gets worn.

You don’t stop at a ring when you’re rebuilding five pieces of old jewellery.

Kara came to us with white gold rings she no longer wore, ready for a complete reset.

Alongside her statement ring, we reworked the remaining diamonds into a matching pendant. The stones were formed into an organic cluster, set in fine bead claws on a discreet bail, sitting low and close to the skin.

Five rings sitting unworn. Not because they weren’t valuable, but because they no longer felt wearable.

That’s where this started.

Kara came to us with a collection of old white gold rings and a hesitation we see often - you want to reuse the diamonds, but you don’t want it to still feel like the past.

So we remodelled them.

We kept the original stones and gold, but completely rebuilt the structure around them. Each diamond was reset into a fluid, organic cluster, creating a piece that feels modern, sculptural, and effortless to wear.

In between team meetings, jewellery tips, winter sunsets, photographing finished rings, and puppy visits, the month disappeared pretty quickly around here.

A 3-carat emerald cut custom engagement ring, a 13-year wait, and a Christmas Eve deadline. No pressure on the workshop team!

B came to us with a clear moment in mind. After 13 years together, he wanted to propose at Christmas, with D’s family flying in from overseas for the first time in years.

The ring needed to feel simple at first glance, but incredibly considered up close.

We worked with a 3ct emerald cut diamond, set in 18ct yellow gold using our signature bezel solitaire. Clean from above, with a deliberately refined profile that keeps the stone feeling strong, but never heavy on the hand.

The result is minimal in appearance, but exact in ex*****on.

Finished just in time for December 23rd.

Turning inherited diamonds into an engagement ring sounds meaningful… until you realise how easy it is to get wrong.

Too traditional and it feels dated.
Too modern and the sentiment disappears.

J brought in diamonds from his mother and grandmother with one goal, to carry their story forward without losing a sense of E’s style.

The challenge was knowing where to stop.

Together we landed on a 2ct oval diamond sitting centre, framed by round brilliant shoulder stones and set to sit flush with her future wedding band.

The result is a modern heirloom, built from previous generations, designed for the generations to come.
