AegisJewelry Aegis Jewellery was born from that faith journey.

Each creation is designed as more than adornment: they are visible signs of invisible grace, shields of strength that speak of God’s love, hope, and forgiveness.

Gospel — Matthew 16:21–27
Jesus tells his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem, suffer at the hands of the religious leaders, be killed, and rise again on the third day. Peter takes him aside and protests, but Jesus rebukes him because Peter is thinking according to human expectations rather than God’s plan.
Jesus then says to his disciples:
“If anyone wants to follow me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”

Those who try to preserve their lives at all costs will lose them, but those who surrender their lives for Christ will find true life. Nothing gained in this world can compensate for the loss of one’s soul. The Son of Man will come in his Father’s glory and repay each person according to their deeds.

Reflection
Jesus asks a searching question: What good is it to gain the whole world but lose one’s soul? Success can fill our hands while leaving our hearts empty. Today, Christ invites us to examine what we are pursuing and what it is doing to us.
For prayer: Lord Jesus, give me courage to follow you when the way is difficult. Free me from fear and self-centredness. Help me carry today’s cross with faith, love and hope, trusting that the road of self-giving leads to life. Amen.
