I’ve obviously been very quiet over the last 5-6 months and it has coincided with me coming off maternity leave and going back into full time work. I have a few prototypes now online that I created a few months ago. These are only available in matte black.. I hadn’t quite got to creating them in other colours just yet!

2023 will be a busy year for me working full time, studying and balancing life with a thriving little one. Unfortunately this means that By Becca Jan will be on the back burner for most of this year. Please be patient with me 🙏 I have a sketchbook full of ideas but I am unable to bring these to life just yet ✨ I am not disappearing completely.. the shop will still be open intermittently, however it is unlikely I’ll be able to restock any sold out pieces until after my exams!

We are only just recovering from UMI Arts’ Big Talk One Fire Festival ✨

It was an amazing day with many local First Nations businesses, dance groups and musicians on show.

Big love to the community of Gimuy for showing your love and support.. those who purchased some pieces and those who just stopped by for a yarn!

By Becca Jan will take a bit of a backseat while I come off maternity leave and get ready to head back to work in the Isa.

A full afternoon showcasing and celebrating our beautiful Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture with local bands and dance groups performing, not to mention the many food, arts and crafts stalls!

Most First Nations Designs have also been restocked. Our wooden dangles are limited at the moment, will have some more of the Turtle Dreaming dangles and Yarning Circles by the end of the week.. just awaiting the arrival of some materials in the mail.
