Well, well, well please read ahead…we are certainly into the new year and although I’ve been M.I.A. In my social media presence plenty is happening in the workshop!!
The new year is a time to reflect and plan forward for me.
I’m in love as ever with my craft and itching to create and make beautiful adornments with magical stones, weaving stories and dreams into treasures…
Somethings I’m struggling with is sharing my work online…
I’m finding it harder and harder to prioritise sharing on social media, my life and work feels so far removed from this bizarre and often quite toxic online world. There is so much utter crap on here that I often don’t feel inspired to add my creations to the feed, I also can’t get into the whole idea of content creation, pleasing algorithms, creating catchy ‘hooks’ and reels just to reach my followers, and I definitely won’t pay money to Meta to have my post reach more than a handful of people.

One more thing I need to have a winge about is the price of silver it’s has gone from about $25 an ounce in 2020 to $38 in 2024 to $130 today 😭😭 this is largely due to supply and demand. Lots of new tech, data centres for A.I. ECT, that’s a whole other kettle worms I won’t open now but please understand I’m not trying to rip you off with my prices, just keep my business afloat 🙏🙏
Anyway change is good, it prompts us to evolve and adapt. When before I never thought about the quantity of silver going into my designs, now I must take great consideration. It’s good to appreciate the resources we use, things we chose to buy and prioritise quality over quantity.
I look forward to what this year brings, to see how my work will evolve, the joy of sharing life with my babies and loved ones, getting into nature as much as possible and appreciating our freedom and security 🙏😊 lots of love frommmm Mia and Guilly 🔥🔥🔥
