Bausele is the first Swiss made, Australian designed watch Company known for leading design and reliable craftsmanship – conceived by Christophe Hoppe and born out of a passion for watches and his love of Australia. Each Bausele is unconditionally linked to its Australian heritage because of the signature hollow crown feature. Each watch holds actual unique elements of Australia subtly contained on display within a signature one of a kind hollow crown, including Red Earth from the Outback, Sand from one of the beautiful beaches, or Opal from under this ancient land. Created to suit the modern Australian way of life, Bausele’s beautiful timepieces don't just incorporate elements of Australia, they are constructed with precision to withstand the raw and powerful elemental forces of Australia with precise engineering.

Day into night.

City Lights and Long Weekend.

One heads into the city once the sun goes down, and the other stays by the water a little longer.

More details coming soon.

A few weeks between Hong Kong, Geneva, Toulon, Mulhouse and Paris, and a lot of time spent with the people behind the brand.

Thank you to our suppliers for the welcome, to Hugo at La Couronne for a day of filming in Toulon, and to everyone at Geneva Watch Days who came by to say hello.

Bausele is available at The Watch Gallery from 15 October, on Rue Fourcroy in Paris’s 17th arrondissement.

More news to share in the coming weeks.

Paris, to close out the trip.

The capital makes it easy to fill a calendar. Meetings, interview recordings, catch ups that ran long, and walks through streets stay inspiring, no matter how many times you’ve walked them.

The plan for this whole trip was to treat it like a holiday, and it made sense. Hong Kong, Geneva, Toulon, Mulhouse, Paris.

Business ownership is a double-edged sword, but at least with watches you usually end up in the best places.

Now back to Sydney, and the morning swims in Spring that now get renewed appreciation.

A European tour isn’t complete without a stop back home, Mulhouse.

The second largest city in Alsace after Strasbourg, it sits on the French side of a three way border between France, Switzerland and Germany.

Family, friends, food, and a lot of w**e.

One of the later legs of this trip, before heading to Paris.

A week at Geneva Watch Days.

The city is sunny, it looks its best this time of year.

Under Catherine Eberle-Devaux, the event keeps growing but never loses its intimacy.

It’s a week to connect with people from the industry. To see, and be seen.

Media, collectors, people who’ve supported Bausele over the years all in one place.

There’s a real warmth in the industry at the moment. A shared sense that things are going well for everyone.

That energy can’t be replicated online.

Living on the other side of the world, it’s not always easy to be part of that. But people know Bausele - the Australian brand raising the flag.

This was a reminder that presence still counts for something.

Distance is easy to forget about, until you’re standing in a room full of people who remind you what you’ve been missing.

Already looking ahead to Chronopolis in April. It’s the people that keep bringing us back.

This is what “made to order” actually looks like.

A look into the workings of our assembly team, combining components from both east and west, QC’ed so your Bausele holds time, both figuratively and literally.

Gérald Genta had three big ideas before he even started his own brand.

The Royal Oak, the Nautilus and the Polerouter. All made for someone else’s name.

He kept putting in the work, letting ideas belong to other brands, before he built one of his own.

Wearing this watch is a reminder that the work comes first, and everything else follows in time.

We will be at Geneva Watch Days from 2 to 6 September.

A week where the industry gathers in one place - brands, watchmakers, collectors.

If you’ll be in Geneva, reach out ahead of time so we can arrange to meet, would love to show you what we’ve built, and what is to come.
