Lily Blanc Designs - Sue Harth Beautiful handcrafted up-cycled spoon bracelets & recycled fork mozzy coil hangers, earrings, pendants, cheese markers, tea infusers & much much more.

I love handcrafted, recycled, upcycled art/craft. The concept of creating beautiful accessories, from unwanted everyday items, is the foundation for my line of upcycled jewellery. Many of my bracelets contain vintage silverware cutlery pieces that can be 100 yrs old! Each piece has lived a previous life, and is now given a second chance to shine. And turning old unwanted forks into useful & decora

tive mosquito coil holders, adds to this theme. Now & then, I dabble in other products -
guardian angels made from delicate silverware teaspoons;
gorgeous vintage fork pendants;
silverware elephant pendants; upcycled silverware earrings from spoon & fork pieces. All my products are handcrafted – the jewellery & hangers, etc are all made in my studio on the Darling Downs.

Title: INNOVATION OR ESCAPE?

---

The billionaire visionary
promises
to transform civilization.

Electric vehicles
will save the environment.
Private rockets
will carry humanity
beyond Earth itself.

Technology becomes
the new frontier
of human destiny.

---

The cruel joke:

the same corporations
celebrated for innovation
can still depend
upon exploited labor,
public subsidies,
tax advantages,
and economic systems
that deepen inequality
here on Earth.

---

Musk presents
technological ambition
as humanity's salvation.

Colonizing Mars,
accelerating renewable energy,
and advancing automation
are framed
as necessary steps
for the survival
of civilization itself.

---

But Reich raises
a harsher question:

what happens
when billionaires
gain the wealth
and influence
to reshape society
without democratic accountability —

while ordinary workers
struggle with housing,
healthcare,
wages,
and collapsing infrastructure
on the planet
already beneath their feet?

---

So the public
marvels at rockets,
screens,
and futuristic promises —

while labor disputes,
union conflicts,
and massive concentrations
of wealth and power
continue expanding quietly
in the background.

---

Then society celebrates
the dream
of escaping Earth —

while millions
cannot even escape
debt,
poverty,
or economic insecurity
inside the systems
already built here.

---

Implication

Technological innovation and private investment can drive major advances in energy, transportation, and space exploration,
but critics argue that extreme concentrations of wealth and corporate power can coexist with labor exploitation, public dependency on subsidies, and widening economic inequality.

---

Question to Thinkers

If the future of humanity
is increasingly shaped
by unelected billionaires,
who ultimately decides
whether technology serves
the public good —

or merely expands
private power and prestige?
