Hello friends 💛 I have some exciting–sad–mixed-feelings news to share.
As some of you may know, ZIPEI is a jewellery label that runs parallel to my art practice. These two things are both important, life-long pursuits for me. While I’ve had to put the art practice on pause to pour my time and energy into running the business, I’ve always been searching for ways to continue my studies.
And this extraordinary opportunity has arrived.
Last week, I was offered a scholarship to undertake my Masters’ studies at Konstfact in Sweden. The program begins in September 2025 and runs for two years. I applied earlier this year with absolutely no expectations as the scholarship is only given to one international student per year.
So… I will be moving to Sweden for two years!
It’s bittersweet to step away from ZIPEI for a while. I truly enjoyed all the special commissions, being part of many special and tender moments, and meeting so many of you through markets and online messages. This is NOT a forever goodbye – I love this little business of mine and will be keen to return to it. And who knows, maybe there’ll be a pop-up market in Sweden once I’ve settled in. 🌱
