What do you know about zircons? This is a stunning brownish pink Australian zircon from the Harts Range in Central Australia. Definitely not to be mistaken for a cheap cubic zirconium. It has been bezel set in fine silver and is embraced in a hug of sand-cast recycled sterling silver. The reverse of the bezel has been textured to be beautiful on both sides. This pendant is a one of a kind handmade, heirloom quality piece of jewellery. It is on a 45cm sterling silver chain.

Natural carnelian, the stone of confidence, courage and creativity, is presented here in a gorgeous necklace and pendant. The faceted beads are securely threaded on hand knotted silk twine for a luxurious feel. The rosecut cabochon is encased in an open backed sterling silver bezel. This necklace is stunning with its warm, translucent glow and its faceted sparkle. It is a one of a kind beauty.

This inherited dress ring, set with a stunning topaz and six diamonds had an old style setting that did not suit an active lifestyle. My client asked for a new setting made from some of her recycled, preloved silver rings but utilising the gold band and the stones from the old ring.

We agreed that a classic bezel setting with peekaboo sides would frame this gorgeous stone but also allow the light in for maximum colour and sparkle. The band was too thin to set the diamonds on their own so they’ve been set into silver rings adding strength, embellishment and twinkles to the ring shank.

We are both delighted with the ‘new’ ring made with elements of a sentimental piece and recycled silver jewellery.

Gorgeous green chrysoprase and freshwater pearl necklace - add the serene colours of a deep ocean rockpool to your outfit. 45cm long.

Chrysoprase is a highly prized gem noted for its beautiful greens and waxy lustre. It is said to bring joy and healing to its wearer.

I’m currently working on a couple of special ring remodels. Recycling metal involves melting, rolling or forging, heating then pickling to remove oxides before repeating the process a number of times. I use a natural citric acid pickle that takes time to do its thing - having side projects helps utilise that time productively.

New England sapphire and sterling silver - a match made in heaven! I was commissioned to make this minimalist bezel set ring using a sapphire gifted to my client. The fine band is hand forged and the sapphire is set in a hand formed bezel setting. It really is lovely and I’m blessed that this is what I get to do!!
