My website will be closed from tomorrow evening until I get through cancer treatment. All orders will be shipped on Monday.

NB. There is a chance the pause won’t be effective immediately and that it will end when my monthly subscription ends. If this happens the sale will remain active but I am not likely to ship until the last week of October.

Facebook and Instagram will remain active and I will be available to message by November and Mid Coast locals may view my jewellery by appointment.

Thanks to all the lovely customers who have shopped with my little business since I decided to close the website side of The Tumbled Pebble until I get through the treatment for recurrent breast cancer.

My surgery is next week followed by radiation and then getting on top of paraneoplastic antibodies that have caused very disruptive auto-immune responses to having a cancer. Finally I’m getting answers to so many symptoms I’ve suffered despite being pretty healthy and know that I’ll get through this.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am changing direction with my jewellery business and next year, I plan a new website and just using my name for my brand.

I absolutely love working with locals on designs, remodels and repairs and this will be my main focus. I am a firm believer in the importance of community and locals supporting local businesses. For locals, contact me for an in-person closing sale experience and keep an eye here on socials for any updates.

If I can figure out how to shut down my website, it will happen sometime this Sunday. One door closes another opens!

It’s with mixed emotions but also an element of hope that I’m choosing to close my website soon (2-4 weeks maybe sooner) - I will keep you updated here. I will still be working in my studio when I can, focusing on our local community and my lovely repeat customers. I will still be active on Facebook and Instagram but I can’t justify paying to keep my website running until I can consistently work again.

Cancer has no respect and has reared its nasty little head after six years. It’s early days and I’m not sure how this journey will go yet. I’m hopeful I’ll get through it as well as I did the last time. I am strong and positive and will deal with this setback head on.

My hope is that when I return and re-open my website again, it will be under my own name. Until then, I will stay as The Tumbled Pebble on socials.

This sweet, Celtic knot ring was badly mangled where it had been cut off a finger. I sawed out the damaged section of the band, melted and formed wire from my clients old jewellery to insert into the gap. After soldering, filing and polishing, the repair is almost undetectable and this pretty, sentimental ring lives on.

Even though I prefer designing and creating bespoke jewellery, the satisfaction of restoring something broken and unwearable is still worth doing.

What do you know about zircons? This is a stunning brownish pink Australian zircon from the Harts Range in Central Australia. Definitely not to be mistaken for a cheap cubic zirconium. It has been bezel set in fine silver and is embraced in a hug of sand-cast recycled sterling silver. The reverse of the bezel has been textured to be beautiful on both sides. This pendant is a one of a kind handmade, heirloom quality piece of jewellery. It is on a 45cm sterling silver chain.

It will drop on my website at 6pm tonight if you can wait that long to secure this unique pendant.
