ইংরেজি শব্দে যে অক্ষর বা লেটার বা বর্ণগুলোর উচ্চারণ হয় না, সেগুলোকে Silent Letters (নীরব অক্ষর) বলা হয়। নিচে বহুল ব্যবহৃত কিছু ইংরেজি শব্দের তালিকা দেওয়া হলো, যেখানে নির্দিষ্ট অক্ষর সাইলেন্ট থাকে:
