🗣️ PROTECT BLACK WOMEN!!!!!!!! gahdamn! 😞

7 Black women were killed by their husband or family member last week.

Then a monster killed his entire family including 8 kids.

I remember last year when Ashley’s husband murdered her before killing himself while their kids were upstairs. Her line sisters organized a GoFund me to help with the funeral costs and to support her kids with anything that came up in the future.

I remember how angry everyone was in the group chat when we found out one of his family members created a GoFund me for Ashley’s murderer as well. The description had some bu****it talking bout how great of a husband, father and son he was and how his life….the life that HE decided to take…was cut short. I couldn’t believe it. There were people actually donating and sending their condolences to a monster.

Last week, I saw a ton of Black men doing the same to honor their frat bro…….who just murdered his wife.

Like……….who is supposed to protect us?!?

Because it damn sure ain’t the system, and too often it isn’t the people closest to us either. 😞 I made this shirt hella years ago and the message STILL ain’t being heard today, smh. Brother Malcolm was right.

Koroba braids are a traditional Yoruba hairstyle from West Nigeria that has been around for centuries. “Koroba” translates to Calabash/basket in the Yoruba language and the style typically emulates the shape of an inverted calabash.

This is the second time I’ve saved a million dollars braiding my hair and I love it! I’m not a braider at all, but the rubber band crochet method and Youtube has worked wonders. A whole head cost me about $40 and the best part is I get to play around with different styles. Right now I’m exploring styles from the Motherland, and this one by far is my favorite. 😍 What do you think? Would you ever try them

Guys look what I did! 🥹 I was recently commissioned by .cc to create the official map for happening tomorrow, and I was super stoked to oblige! Yall know how I feel about the Crenshaw district, so this project was obviously a no-brainer.

Special thanks to Rosie w/ .cc and my girl Sharda and for allowing me to be creative. 🫂

If you’re in the LA area tomorrow, pull up! Come watch the race, then find us in the Finishers Village with the rest of the vendors to get your own comparative map! Hope to see you 🤌🏿

I hope y’all have a bomb ass day. and if it’s your birthday, well dagnamit, have a beautiful birthday! 🔥🤌🏿

Hey ladies, have any of you experienced hair loss from stress? If so what did you do to combat it? I lowkey have a bald spot…(I mean it’s not bald, but it is lowkey thinning) and it’s making me super insecure. Apparently it’s a stress spot, but the problem is that I don’t feel stressed at all 😩 This probably the best I felt in years but evidently my body doesn’t agree. If you’ve experienced this, I would love to hear your stories before I cut all this s**t off again 😣🫂

Oh, and we finally added our coasters to the shop. There are hella options! Feel free to browse when you get a moment. $15 each or 4 for $50 amen?

Posting has been feeling like such a chore lately. So much so that I’ve been avoiding it like the plague.

I’m on social media way more than I’d like to admit, but having to take and pick the best photos, edit them, and post them at the perfect time when folks can actually engage is…..SUCH a task, omg. And it’s one that hasn’t been a priority for me. For that I apologize. 🫂

The truth is, I do like y’all in my business sometimes. I wanna show off the pictures I take (whenever I do). And I do wanna show y’all the behind the scenes or the art that has nothing to do with my art…..but I give up on perfection. Back to the OG Insta days where things were less about polished content and more about what I had for lunch and somebody fine ass WCW. Hopefully you guys are okay with the change, if not. I am and that’s okay.

Anyhow, February was a BLACK and busy ass month over here! I have about 3 more posts after this but I do want to highlight our time at the popup at . A time was had AND mama know who we are, hallelu!
