Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

On this day of faith, heritage, and celebration, I’d like to share something a little special with you.

Have a listen to Track #10 — Éirím Inniu (Cíochchlár Naomh Pádraig) / Today, I Rise (Breastplate of St Patrick) from Síreanna Statach’s debut album Dóchas ón Éadóchas.

This powerful adaptation of the Breastplate of St. Patrick prayer is reimagined with that unmistakable Síreanna Statach edge—blending ancient devotion with a modern, atmospheric sound. A meeting of past and present, carrying the spirit of Ireland into something entirely new.

A New Chapter for The Knotty Celt

I’m pleased to announce the founding of The Knotty Celt Records — a new creative extension of The Knotty Celt dedicated to bringing Celtic-inspired music and storytelling to life.

The label’s first release is the debut album Dóchas ón Éadóchas (Hope from Despair) by Síreanna Statach.

This album blends Irish-language lyrics with modern musical influences while drawing deeply from myth, tradition, and the emotional landscape of the human experience. All tracks were written or adapted in-house by Aindriú Ó Brúnraige (Andrew Brownrigg).

Síreanna Statach bridges the ancient and the modern — a voice emerging from the crossroads of Celtic tradition and contemporary sound.

More releases are already in the works, and physical editions of the album — including CD and vinyl — will be coming soon.

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Knotty Celt over the years. This is only the beginning.
