Celtic Heather 🍀

There’s something timeless about amethyst. In Ireland, purple heather has long been woven into the landscape, carpeting hillsides with soft violet blooms. Here in Nova Scotia, amethyst can be found in our own rugged shores and cliffs, creating a connection between two places shaped by the sea.

Celtic Heather brings those stories together with faceted amethyst gemstones and sterling silver, finished with a graceful Celtic knot pendant that symbolizes connection, heritage, and enduring bonds.

The seaweed art at Sea Mist Studio begins where so much of our inspiration begins — along the shoreline.

Every walk on the beach reveals something new. A piece of seaweed washed ashore, a pattern left by the tide, the colours of the ocean against the rocks. Those same textures, shapes, and colours often find their way into the jewelry we create and curate.

Our pressed seaweed art captures a little piece of Nova Scotia’s coastline and preserves it as nature’s artwork. From small touch-tank displays to framed pieces inspired by the sea, it’s become a meaningful part of what we do here at the studio.

If you’ve visited us, you’ve likely seen seaweed woven throughout the shop — not just as art, but as inspiration.

I’ve been busy helping at the workbench today. I inspected the tools, supervised the studio, and made sure everything was up to my very high standards. (It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it.)

Another weekend by the sea has come and gone ⚓️

From ribbons of seaweed washed ashore to a moon snail tucked into the sand, it’s little coastal moments like these that remind us where so much of our inspiration begins.

Whether it’s the colours of the ocean, treasures found along the beach, or the simple rhythm of the tides, the sea finds its way into everything we do at Sea Mist Studio.

We hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend and found a little time to enjoy the coast, wherever you are.

Some days the sea is all soft mist and silver light. Other days, it turns deep blue and endless.

Tidewater Moon reminds me of those deeper waters.

Faceted lapis in rich ocean blues is paired with a luminous freshwater coin pearl and sterling silver accents—like moonlight resting on the tide at dusk.

A simple coastal piece, inspired by the colours we love most here by the shore. 💙
