Black Daisies is a team of two Canadian silversmiths, Mimosa the Jewelry Witch & The Spirit Guide. Born and raised in Montreal, the duo works together to make intricate and beautifully haunting pieces that they call talismans. Highly detailed and otherworldly, these treasures are hand sculpted in wax by Mimosa herself and then casted with the “lost-wax” technique, a t

raditional and ancient technique dating back to classical antiquity. Every piece is meant to accompany the wearer into their journey & perhaps to be given a new tale…

Claddagh ring with thorns ✨

Latest custom project that I am so very proud of! Even if this is my fourth Claddagh ring sculpture, I unlocked new skills & a deeper comprehension of my loyal tools. It’s so humbling how even after 10+ years of owning them, I still find creative ways of using them!

I am totally smitten of how the ruffles and the little thorns turned out to be. I’m in love!

Every little details matters - 🦷 so happy of the results! ✨

À la fois morbide, mais aussi moderne que cette pièce est devenue. We used a cold connected method that omits the use of a torch as the tooth is an organic material! What a wonderful project it was to work on!

As creatives and professionals, we both use our hands to create magick and a transformation on the inquirer. We feel deeply connected with our line of work; Alex from uses her deep knowledge on cosmetic & paramedical tattoos to heal & transform her clients well-being. And Black Daisies, crafting fine jewelry that eventually becomes a personal & sacred amulet for the wearer.

Welcome to Black Daisies Jewelry’s temple!

We founded this fantasy world together in 2016 & we are soon celebrating our 10th year anniversary! That’s a crazy ride… Black Daisies Jewelry is our second longest commitment in our life. Our first commitment? Us. We’re together for 18 years now & beyond & forever 🖤

I guess an introduction wouldn’t be a bad idea, especially to all the new faces to who recently joined the BDJ family! Here’s a little bit about us and our work:

• Montreal is our hometown, but we’re international at heart!

•We are both creatives in our own style and taste, but we teach other something new everyday. Whether it’s a new technique, new work flow, or simply new music.

•Yes. We both work together - we share tasks, business duties & artistic visions.

•Our jewelry is hand-sculpted by the one and only Mimosa; the bossy witch lol

•Our jewelry is casted in Montreal 🇨🇦 We cast in sterling silver, sometimes bronze, and other precious metals on demand such as gold.

• We’re a team of two only! We never hire a third party to do our work; product shots, graphic design, website building, shipping and handling, social media, emails, etc. “Do it yourself”

• We hold everything of BDJ close to our heart, so when you wear our pieces, you know it’s full of love and care.

Mourning jewelry: a jewelry piece to commemorate a loved one who has passed away.

This ring contains the ashes of a loved one that our client entrusted us to work with. The ring is hand-carved in wax & was made into two parts: the top part where the ashes will be contained, and the body. The inspiration came from the “Fenian Claddagh” ring and a mixture of the “Sacred Heart” symbolizing resistance, hope & passion. Perfect for the owner of this ring.

Thank you Sergio D.S. for entrusting us with your loved one’s ashes & we are absolutely honoured that you chose us for this project.

It has always been a dream for me to work with ashes as I deeply respect the cycle of life and death and I was always fascinated by a mortician’s practice. It’s an honour for me to take part of the process of guiding a soul into a better world. I am deeply grateful to be chosen.

That is also why I give my best to live fully, everyday. 🙏🏼
