Happy Mother’s Day 🌼

This whole journey started with my mom giving me a handful of her leftover turquoise beads. That first batch turned into these necklaces… and eventually into Brooks 1953.

It felt right to launch my new Stories in Silver blog today with the story of how it all began.

I used to work part‑time for my dad buffing buckles in high school — and if you’d asked me back then whether I’d ever choose to do this again… absolutely not.

Yet here I am, voluntarily polishing a 1990 CPRA buckle and genuinely enjoying the glow‑up. 🤠✨

Life really said, “full circle, sweetheart.”

Two custom pieces headed to their new homes today. 🤍

The first is a green turquoise Twilly tie slide. The customer chose a slab from our collection, and Paul cut and shaped it to fit the design perfectly.

The second started with an idea sent to us by the customer. With dad’s help and his modern cutting technology — we were able to create the flower shape she had in mind. It’s finished with a 10mm Sonoran turquoise stone and an adjustable paperclip chain.

Grateful for the extra hands that helped make these pieces exactly what they needed to be.

Mother’s Day Collection — Launching Friday, May 1 at 5 PM MST 🩵

Here is a sneak peek of the stones and components I’ll be working with for a small Mother’s Day collection. A mix of sterling silver, warm coppers, classic Buffalo nickels, turquoise, and soft pinks.

The drop will include a few pendants, earrings, necklaces, rings, a lapel pin, and a couple of twilly holders. I’ll share more photos as the pieces come together over the next few days.

Finished up this pair of custom Twilly tie slides and I’m really happy with how they came together with the help of my dad!

The first is a Number 8 turquoise oval that Paul cut out a few weeks ago, set in sterling silver.

The second is a rectangular Kingman composite — turquoise, white buffalo, and bronze.

Both pieces are headed to their new home today. 🫶🏻
