Join our Team! We are looking for a Technical Representative.

Arriscraft, manufacturer of naturally-made products that emulate quarried stone, has an opening for a Technical Representative/Shop Drawing Drafter. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong construction, engineering or architectural background. Excellent presentation, organizational and time management skills are required.

This individual will be responsible for working with architects, engineers, specification writers, masons, tile setters and installers to ensure the proper detailing and installation of Arriscraft’s different stone cladding systems for our Thin-Clad Stone product lines. This individual would also be responsible for producing takeoffs and shop drawings for different projects throughout North America. The individual will assist in the development and maintenance of standard technical information including product data sheets, guideline specifications, and CAD/BIM details. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales department.

Assets include:
- 5 – 10 years of demonstrated construction/architectural experience
- Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology. Building Science background preferred.
- Candidate that is either OAA, AIA, MAATO registered or has a P.Eng designation will be given first consideration
- Knowledge of different cladding systems and building envelopes is a must
- Excellent understanding of moisture movement from all aspects (wind driven, dew point, capillary etc…)
- Strong detailing background that can be demonstrated on actual buildings the candidate has worked on.
- Candidate with experience in masonry and stone detailing/construction will be given first consideration
- Ability to explain complex detailing over the phone
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Willingness to travel at times
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM a must
- Sales/customer service background would be an asset

There are so many wonderful thin adhered masonry products on the market today but the industry as a whole has been derided for years and years due to the many failures that have occured. We started the month talking about our “White Stone” options that we produce in the COLOR of the MONTH series this month. This week we thought we’d focus on each of the products individually that we’ve discussed.
So, today we’ll explore “WHITE CLIFF COASTAL”, which can be produced in Split and Sawn textures. This is a preblended ashlar made up of 2-1/8”, 3-5/8”, and 6-1/8” tall units all blended on the skid or in boxes in the 30:55:15 bond ratio (smallest height to largest height). So every size is on a single skid or in a single box that is ordered.

This is similar to our STACK product but has mortar joints between the units.

We also make these units with L-shaped Corner units as well as well as a number of profile units like sills, bullnoses arches etc… to complete the design.

There is so much you can do with COASTAL in your designs.

We started the month talking about our “White Stone” options that we produce in the COLOR of the MONTH series this month. This week we thought we’d focus on each of the products individually that we’ve discussed.
So, today we’ll explore “BISCAYNE” MIDTOWN, which can be produced in Split and Sawn textures. These are units are produced in 2-1/8”, 3-5/8”, and 5-7/8” tall units with random lengths up to 23-5/8” so you get a long linear look.

We also make these units with L-shaped Corner units as well as well as a number of profile units like sills, bullnoses arches etc… to complete the design.

We started the month talking about WHITE STONE options we produce in the COLOR of the MONTH series this month. This week we thought we’d focus on each of the products individually that we’ve discussed.
So, today we’ll explore Limestone ARRIS-tile, which can be produced in Smooth and Rocked textures in 3-5/8”, 7-5/8”, and 11-5/8” heights by 23-5/8” lengths. We produce these units in both textures in 3/4” in thicknesses and we can also produce the Smooth units in 1-3/8” thicknesses which is perfect when you want to combine the thicknesses to create shadow lines or you want a thicker unit because you want notched or chamfered units or units with false joints

These units can also be produced in custom sizes, such as 6” x 6”, 8” x 8”, 12” x 12”, 6” x 24”, 2-1/4” x 23-5/8”. Basically if it fits inside an 11-5/8” x 23-5/8” unit we can make it.

We also make these units with L-shaped Corner units as well as a number of profile units like sills, bullnoses arches etc…

There is so much you can do with ARRIS-tile in your designs.

Oh My, it’s COLD out there, so I wish I able to warm myself up by this fireplace. We’re still celebrating the COLOR of the MONTH – WHITE Stone in celebration of the February winter weather (it’s snowing where I am currently). This is Stack “Ice” so we have FIRE AND ICE.

We’re still celebrating the COLOR of the MONTH – WHITE Stone in celebration of the February winter weather (it’s snowing where I am currently) and the CREC Aerospace School in Rocky Hill, CT is an incredible example. Friar Architecture designed with our Limestone ARRIS-tile in both smooth and rocked textures. Look at how the “waves” really POP off the wall and can be seen across the campus. The rocked units provide such texture and richness. The custom work that went into creating the waves is a real testament to the team in our manufacturing facility and to the installers on site.

For me, this is such a cool design and we’re happy and humbled we were able to take a small part.

Love seeing this. We can mnake the greatest products on the face of the planet (and we do, LOL 😉) but if there is no one to install them then it wouldn’t matter. There is such a symbiotic relationship between manufacturers and installers. What a fantastic job they all did with the WHITE Stack Ice. Such a clean install.

I don’t know where in the world you’re viewing this post from, but here in Ontario, Canada it’s COLD outside, and so thoughts of warming oneself in front of a nice fire place with a hot chocolate or glass of wine 😉 seems like just the thing to do. So, here is another COLOR of the MONTH candidate – WHITE Stack Stone in the “Ice” Color. How about that “FIRE and ICE”.

I just love the blend of modern and rustic, it makes the space feel clean and modern but feel like home at the same time. I could move in tomorrow, LOL…
