It’s May and day 1 of knit/crochet every day challenge. I spent the morning at the store knitting with the Unwind community. I finished knitting the sleeves of and I just need to fold over the hems of the sleeves and whipstitch them. Such a quick knit and voila I have a Spring top to wear after a wash and block.

Yarn is Duo, merino and Pima cotton blend, a dream to knit with.

I have been working on new Spring designs and I’m bringing lots of anklets in time for spring/summer.

Coming home today from a family vacation in Cozumel. Family included my FIL, our son’s girlfriend and our daughter’s bestie. A week of togetherness, good food, good drinks, games, laughs and warmth all around.

I’m finishing my 3rd book on the flight home. I tried peanut butter coffee for the first time. Don’t knock it until you try it! I ate the best enchiladas ever by a private chef we hired.

I’m coming home refreshed, recharged and ready for 2026.

The books I read in 2025. I finished book #36 yesterday. I have a HUGE pile of books to read through in 2026. I’m challenging myself to read 40 books in 2026. My favourite genre is historical fiction, but I’m challenging myself to read other genres.

One more sleep until the Crafts & Cheer Artisan Holiday Show! Huge thank you to my daughter and my friend, Carolin, for helping me figure out my table display tonight. Everything is all packed up… necklaces, bracelets, anklets, earrings, Christmas ornaments and knitting stitch markers.

I don’t have any product photos right now. Over the past few months I have been wearing 2 hats, one as an artisan and one as part of a team of 4 ladies organizing the show. Tomorrow I will take photos.

I have been busy behind the scenes preparing for our 5th annual .and.cheer Artisan Holiday Show, as part of a team of organizers and as a vendor.

We’re excited to welcome 26 unique artisans and their handmade products. As always, we’re supporting through the collection of filled purses and new personal care items.

I have been creating new pieces for the show, including hand knotted gemstone anklets, hand knotted pearl necklaces, hand knotted gemstone bracelets and earrings.

Visit us on Saturday, November 15 at the Richmond Hill Legion and start your holiday shopping, as well as supporting a worthy charity.

This week has been all about knotting gemstones for anklets for the .and.cheer Artisan Holiday Show on Saturday, November 15. These anklet strands just need to be finished with clasps and closed rings.
