Kischi maarsii to Lisa Shepherd, Métis Artist for teaching me how to make a scissor pocket 💜

This is something I’ve been wanting to learn for a while and I’m pretty excited to have this new skill unlocked. & Let me tell you, beading with a beautiful scissor pocket on your bead mat just hits different.

The floral design and pocket pattern are by Lisa Shepherd. I used SHEENBeads , Czech beads, Swarovski pearls, and the little brass point is from Tansy Trading

My next event is on Saturday, the 19th and it’s a beauty! Come Toward The Fire is a celebration of Indigenous culture, art, storytelling, music, food - and it’s free to attend. Everyone is welcome ❤️

I’m currently working on more beaded and tufted berries for this one. & there will be more pretty earrings, necklaces, bolos and then some.
