Great Blue Heron & Water Lily

I've beaded Great Blue Herons before, but I wanted to create a new version with a different look and feel. This design features a Great Blue Heron standing among water lilies, inspired by the wetlands and shorelines where these birds are often found.

Today's make: Eastern Towhee

After revisiting one of my older designs, these Eastern Towhees got a bit of a makeover. I wanted to better capture their striking black, white, and rusty-orange plumage—and, of course, all the personality that comes with it.

If you've ever heard a Towhee rustling through the leaves before you spotted it, you know exactly what I mean. 🍂
