To say I’m proud to be attending three gorgeous events all in the same season this year is an understatement. Two familiar favourites and one new market are on my books for November- and the anticipation is wonderful.

For many of us as creative entrepreneurs- studio work is often a solitary practice. Spending long weeks developing ideas and birthing them with hearts and hands (dare I say with blood, sweat and tears?). There is nothing quite like being surrounded by talented makers to refresh my spirit.

For reference, this is eight months of curating every pearl and gem purchase to complement my favourite designs. I can’t wait to share them with you all ✨🤍

My bench is a riot of sparkling jewels in all stages of production at the moment. Hardly as glamorous as it may sound. But when you see me in a few weeks, everything will be polished and ready.

I feel like every single tool I own is on the bench today. A tidy workspace is a thing of pure fantasy.

I’m preparing collections for Hello Valley Events Craft Nova Scotia and Halifax Crafters holiday events and things are starting to feel *really* real 😅

Coffee and stone setting don’t mix well for me- so it’s a quick tea break before I continue setting garnets into wee Seraphina earrings and pendants. Sterling silver are up next (14k gold are already sold).

This season I’ve decided not to take on any custom holiday orders, but to bring curated collections and one of a kind work to selected events instead…

This has meant a very different kind of studio flow from what I’m accustomed to, but has allowed me to be more creative with the pieces I’m offering. (This said, perhaps I should add that if you see a particular piece that calls your name, don’t hesitate to reach out with inquiries. There’s a very good chance that I’ve made only one, and it may not be available for long ) ✨

Fit check thirty three tourmaline cabs with me!

Casting for my hand-built sterling silver settings was a complete success (which is never guaranteed, no matter how good you are)- which is a wonderful progress marker for this one of a kind Oracle necklace.

Before continuing with finishing, polishing and stone setting though it’s important that I pause to ensure every stone fits into its own bezel exactly as it’s supposed to. I think (hope) this is the half way point for this piece, but that’s still tbd.
