Slowly but steadily.
I took some time to reflect what custom bespoke pieces mean to me. I thought this would be the perfect piece to talk about these thoughts this past month.
Every piece is very precious to me, this one is also, just as customs are all one of a kind, every piece marks a new beginning.
A new beginning of your new journey.
Starting each piece, it feels like a new beginning to me also.
Every piece starts on a blank white paper, I begin writing down words you have shared, little details that matter to you, small moments of your story that stayed in my thoughts,
all slowly, from a blank page, to a page now with a name, a story.
Like magic, I let my mind wander, I let my hands draw, I let your story guide where it leads me.
No templates, no moulds, not a single custom piece will ever be the same. Because you are unique, our connection is unique, and this piece would never exist without the storyteller and the maker.
Now, I look at custom very differently. I used to think of it as, me translating your stories into physical meaningful objects, but really each piece is more like an artifact of our shared experience and existence. A capsule of our shared time, a capture of our shared memories of excitement, anticipation, and sometimes nervousness also! In the end of each custom piece, it becomes a treasure that was found together, where this journey only began solely from love, from care, from the recognition of what is precious, what is important.
