Today, Czechia remembers the Velvet Revolution - the peaceful 1989 movement that ended communist rule, brought democracy and returned vineyards to the families who had cared for them for generations.
That moment shaped the wine culture in Czechia: when the land came back, so did craftsmanship, small-scale farming, and the freedom to make wines with real character.

To us, this story lives in the vineyards themselves - cool climate, terroir expression, certain rebelliousness and the kind of patience that seems built into this country. Czech wines carry a natural clarity and honesty, maybe because the people who farm these soils have fought hard to protect what matters.

Almost 30 winemakers from Central Europe come to Berlin tomorrow to share wines deeply rooted in their land — from Tokaj to Moravia, from Karst to Balaton. Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia & Czechia - all to be explored and tasted in one day.

Expect real craftsmanship, fantastic terroir driven wines, and a lot of amazing energy.

So much buzz at this week — surrounded by 15,000+ bartenders, sommeliers, and hospitality pros, all exploring what’s next for drinks culture.

Our founder gave a talk on how natural and organic wines are moving from niche to norm — and how bars can make them approachable, profitable, and genuinely enjoyable.

🌍 Certified organic vineyards now make up around 6 % of the world’s total, growing fast. 🥂 Guests are ready to pay more for transparency and sustainability — and smart venues are taking note.

3 things to remember: 1️⃣ Storytelling sells — keep it human, not dogmatic. 2️⃣ Train your team — confidence pours better than theory. 3️⃣ Source sustainably — it’s good for the planet and your margins.

Natural wine isn’t just cloudy orange in hipster bars — it’s part of a global shift toward craft, honesty, and care.
