One of the nicest things about Berlin is that sometimes dinner feels less like going to a restaurant — and more like being invited into someone’s home. ✨

The .berlin is exactly that kind of experience. Hosted by Prerna Khosla, this cozy evening is all about Indian street food, conversations and meeting new people around a shared table.

The menu changes with every gathering, but expect comforting chaats full of texture and flavour — crispy Papdi Chaat, spicy Aloo Tikki Cholle, Vada Pav and homemade chai to finish the evening.

What I really love about this concept is that it feels personal and warm. Not just dinner, but a small cultural experience through food, music and storytelling.

If you enjoy discovering more intimate food experiences in Berlin beyond the usual restaurant scene, this is definitely one to save.

Her next supper club will be on the 29th of May.

Last week I got to visit the bakery behind .landbrot — 🍞✨ Seeing the baking process up close, the huge variety of breads and the amount of care that goes into every single loaf was incredibly impressive. They bake around 10,000 breads a day, yet everything still feels deeply rooted in craftsmanship, quality and regional ingredients.

What I especially loved is how local and ingredient-focused everything is. Their breads are made with organic grains and long fermentation methods, which is probably why so many Berliners swear by them.

And luckily you no longer have to hunt for their bread at markets or organic shops only — they now also have their own bakery on Akazienstraße in Schöneberg, where you can try different breads, pastries and sandwiches directly. ☕🥖

Definitely one of those places that makes you appreciate good bread a little more.

Back in Berlin — and of course the very first haircut after almost a year in China had to happen at ✂️🤍

And More … hair coloring, fresh cuts, good coffee and finally restocking all the hair products and shampoo we ran out of after traveling. ❤️ ❤️

And the cutest part? My son also got his first haircut back in Berlin today — obviously only “Auntie Jule” was allowed to do it. 🥹

There’s something special about having people in a city who make you instantly feel at home again.

If you’re in Prenzlauer Berg and looking for a salon that feels personal instead of rushed, this one’s worth saving. ✨

Berlin honestly has SO many brunch spots now that it’s hard to keep up — but these are some of my current favorites for slow weekend mornings, coffee dates and long brunch catch-ups. ☕✨

From colorful breakfast plates at to the beautiful brunches at , cozy mornings at .berlin in Charlottenburg, stylish breakfast dishes at and huge sharing platters at — these are all places I keep recommending to friends visiting Berlin. 🥐

And honestly? One of my favorite things about Berlin brunch culture is how every neighborhood has its own vibe. Neukölln brunches feel completely different from Charlottenburg mornings — and that’s exactly what makes café hopping in Berlin so fun. ✨

Save this for your next brunch date in Berlin. 🥂

One of my favorite museum tips in Berlin for families right now. ✨ currently has an immersive installation by artist Lina Lapelytė that turns the huge historic hall into a playful sound experience — and children are actually encouraged to interact with it, move around and become part of the installation themselves.

Especially nice: every Sunday from 12 pm there is “Family Sunday” with creative workshops and family-friendly activities throughout the museum. Entrance is only 10€ for adults and free for children.

Honestly one of those rare Berlin museum experiences that feels inspiring for both kids and adults.

Hidden behind a golden/black entrance on Friedrichstraße, Crackers mixes Berlin nightlife energy with elegant interiors, cocktails and modern cuisine. The atmosphere feels somewhere between a stylish dinner party and an old Berlin glamour scene — especially once the lights get lower in the evening.

I came here for dinner and honestly loved not only the food, but the whole setting. High ceilings, velvet details, music in the background and one of those spaces where you immediately want to stay longer.

If you’re looking for a more elevated Berlin dinner spot after museums, galleries or a night out in Mitte, this is definitely one to save.

If you’re a cookie monster, this Berlin café needs to be on your list immediately. 🍪

Halit & Annalena serve some of the THICKEST cookies I’ve ever seen in Berlin — crispy on the outside, ridiculously soft in the middle and so buttery that they basically melt while still warm.

The secret?
bake them fresh every single morning directly in the café. And because the cookies are slightly thicker than usual, they stay incredibly gooey inside.

But honestly, the whole café deserves attention:
☕ coffee
🍫 rare cacao from El Salvador by Chiquihuat (first time I’ve seen it in a Berlin café)
🫖 tea
🍨 .berlin ice cream combined with 🍪

The café is fairly new but already feels like one of those hidden Berlin spots people will soon queue for.

Definitely save this for your next cookie date in Prenzlauer Berg. ✨

One of the weekends that reminds you why Berlin feels unlike anywhere else. 🎭

Karneval der Kulturen is back this May — with parades, music, food, performances and communities from all over the world taking over the streets of Berlin.

What I personally love most is that it’s not just a parade. It’s one of those weekends where the whole city feels alive.

There’s music coming from every corner, people dancing in the streets, food stands everywhere and this very special Berlin summer energy that’s hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it yourself.

I made a small guide with the best spots, interesting parade groups and things most people miss.

📍 Parade:
Frankfurter Allee → Karl-Marx-Allee

📍 Festival:
Blücherplatz

Save this for the weekend ✨

One of my favorite Berlin summer traditions is officially back: open-air cinema nights at .hasenheide.berlin ✨

Honestly, there’s just something special about watching films outside on warm summer evenings, surrounded by trees, with people bringing blankets, snacks and drinks while the sun slowly disappears over Berlin.

The 2026 season at Freiluftkino Hasenheide has just started and runs from May until September. They’re showing everything from international indie films to classics, documentaries and family movies.

What I especially love about this cinema is the atmosphere — it feels very Neukölln in the best possible way. A bit chaotic, super local, relaxed and somehow always magical in summer.

Why you should go (or stay) in Berlin in July. 🎭
Because this is when the city feels the most alive.

5 things I’d save right now.
If you’re in Berlin in July, this is for you:

DON’T MISS

→ CSD Berlin (25 July)
One of Europe’s biggest Pride events — a mix of parade, protest and celebration. The entire city turns into a stage for visibility, community and joy.

→ Open-Air Cinemas
Summer in Berlin means movie nights under the sky.
From Hasenheide to Friedrichshain or Rehberge — bring a blanket, a drink and stay until the credits roll.

LAST CHANCE

→ Georg Kolbe Museum
Marlow Moss (until 26 July)
A quiet but powerful exhibition on space, structure and Constructivism — one of those shows that stays with you.

→ James-Simon-Galerie
Building Community (until 19 July)
A fascinating look at some of the earliest human cultures — and how community started over 12,000 years ago.

ALSO WORTH IT

→ Konzerthaus Berlin
Espresso Concert (from €12)
At 2pm, you get coffee — and a short live concert. Unexpected, accessible and one of the easiest ways to experience Berlin’s classical scene.

Save this for your July plans. ✨

Last week I told you about Berlin’s hidden bakery week. Today: here’s what I’d actually book before the slots vanish. 🍞

The Woche der offenen Backstuben starts on 18 May. Most of the 30+ events sell out within days of release. If you saved my last post and haven’t booked yet, this is your shortcut.

I picked five — one for every kind of person:

🥨 If you’ve never made sourdough by hand
Brotgarten in Charlottenburg runs an open-air baking session in their courtyard, and the team has been doing this since 1978 (it started as a Kollektiv). Real teaching, no theatre.

🍞 If you want to learn how a master baker actually thinks
Zeit für Brot opens its sourdough secrets — long fermentation, ecological grain, no chemical helpers — with the master baker himself. The deepest tasting on the schedule.

👧 If you’re going with kids
Bäckerei Fahland in Potsdam runs Backen mit Kids while parents take the bakery tour. Two hours of separate kid-and-parent fun, ending in something the kids actually made.

🌾 If you want a piece of Berlin baking history
Weichardt-Brot in Wilmersdorf has been Germany’s first Demeter bakery since 1977. Three Sextener stone mills running on Demeter grain from Ökohof Kuhhorst. The story alone is worth the trip.

✨ If you want the most photogenic experience
Wiener Brot in Mariendorf — the bakery Sarah Wiener co-founded — uses a three-day sourdough fermentation in a wood oven. You can knead, roll, and fold alongside the team. The 2-kilo wood-oven loaves are unreal.

Pre-booking is essential. Many of these slots sell out within 48 hours of release.
