Restoration of an 1970s Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 4100ST done. Why are those watches are so amazing. If you just take a look on the construction of the crown tube, looks simple at the beginning, but even this small part is way more complicated constructed than it seems, a 0,4mm spacer, threaded tube with 2,5mm hole, soldered all together to the case. Overengineered? I don’t think so, it’s just the top end of what is possible.

1962 Rolex Submariner 5512 Restoration is almost done. A case that brought me to the limit, what is still possible?! Missing material everywhere, rust everywhere, glue to cover dents and gaps. A nightmare that brought me close to the point to loose my mind 😅. Working hours around 200, 6 bottles of argon, recut of thread, milling seal section of the top and new turned bottom.
