There’s something deeply satisfying about the final steps in my workshop (im now inbetween, just finishing off the final touches before finally javing everything moved over to my new space 😁). The wrapping, sealing, and sending a piece out into the world.

This ring has been through flame, file, and polish. Now, to leave the forge to find the hand it was meant for 💍

I give every piece o send out a personal touch, I ensure your piece is fully protected and safe and then sent in perfect condition 💜

Jewels speak in form, and not every hand wants to say the same thing.
Some want drama. Some want depth. Some want something only they understand.

Each of my rings tell their own story.

Just like the jewels, the settings I use don’t only secure the stone, they cast the role it plays.

And shapes? They all have a deeper meaning, they're not to just follow trends or win over majority.

These rings weren’t made for everyone. They were made for someone.

A little behind-the-scenes update

We’ve recently had to move studios, and still in the motion of getting it all ready. Well, it's more of a building work stage atm.

What does that mean for you?

For now, it means all the silver made to order jewelry you ordered before the end of August will be ready for shipping in November latest.

And we are still working on getting other orders out, too but we ask you for a little patience. There will be a further update soon regarding our silver pieces, as timelines may shift while we build our new space.

Apologies for any delay in getting back to anyone, this past month and a half has been a whirlwind, through changes and challenges alike. Your support throughout this transition really means more than words.

The fire is still burning, just in a new home. 🔥

The Goldsmith of Dreams ✨️

Kipkalinka is the creation of me, Christine.

A natural witch with psychic abilities (but that's a story for another day), and a professionally trained goldsmith with 20+ years of experience.

I chose my path of this craft at 15, trained full-time, and earned my title by 18. Since then, I’ve blended metallurgy with mysticism. Drawing from studies in Slavic literature, art history, and astrology.

As everyone knows “I myself am strange & unusual”, multilingual, and endlessly devoted to detail. My neurodivergence fuels my unmatched precision and symbolism in every piece. It's a bit of a superpower of mine. As well as being able to chat all day long about jewels. Jewels are an obsession that I can go into grave detail.

Lucky, this is my line of work, right? 😆😆😆

Back in May, I boarded a train and travelled over 300 km into the beautiful Franken region to deliver a pair of rings by hand. A journey worth every mile. There’s something timeless about placing a forever piece directly into the hands it was made for 💜💜💜

PALLADIUM—THE MISUNDERSTOOD METAL ✨️

Once hailed as platinum’s quieter twin, palladium carried the same noble strength and a bright silvery beauty at a softer price.

For a few years, the price of palladium went through the roof, and a 950 palladium ring would have cost more than platinum while offering less in longevity and luminosity. But, since 2023, pricing has returned back to normal.

By now, with the gold price at an all-time high, palladium jewellery has become fashionable, again amongst those who want a white metal for their wedding or engagement rings.

There are two faces of this elusive element:
950 palladium, radiant and durable, is a completely legit alternative to palladium-white gold or platinum at a reasonable price point. And, it does not need any plating since it’s already so bright and white.

500 palladium, however, is a different beast entirely: half silver, half palladium. Dark in hue, stubborn in nature, and not made to be cast. Not every “palladium” ring tells the whole truth.

My favourite, from years at the bench and hours beside the flame, will always be 950 platinum 🖤 🖤 🖤

I just love its weight, eternal shine, and the dark grey tone. But if you're drawn to the bright side of the cool-toned metals, 950 palladium will be your friend 🩶🩶🩶

PLATINUM—THE ALCHEMIST’S METAL 💍

There’s something about platinum.
Heavy. Hypnotic. Eternal.

Its dark grey gleam, cool, quiet, and impossibly resilient. This is not just a material. It’s an eternal promise. One that endures. One that is my favourite metals used in fine jewellery to work with ✨️

But only the real, noble 950 alloy.

Hypoallergenic and nearly indestructible, platinum demands much more time and attention than any other alloy. Hand-sanding in at least 7 grits, staying incredibly focused reading every curve.

Platinum is much harder and requires special tools and polishing equipment. I dont have a tumbler in my studio, as they are useless for platinum anyway. I have to use touch, attention, and time. Then, when I turn to the lathe, it reveals truth. Which, sometimes, means I need to get back to sanding. The real final polish is only accomplished when the piece has become a tiny multikonvex mirror in my care.

You don’t rush platinum. You honour it. 💜

Two hand-carved skulls rest on either side of a gemstone of your choosing—London Blue Topaz, garnet, onyx—whatever speaks your truth. The skulls? Alive in their stillness. Each cavity blackened by hand. Each detail etched with reverence.
