Holy f*ck is right 🤬
The collective feminine rage is heavy AF right now, and rightly so.
It's bringing up a lot and I'm feeling it deep.
As someone who has had to physically step up and protect myself countless times along with other girls and women from harm in real time, I'm very familiar with what it means to carry high-stakes energy.
What kept me safe and sane after the fact wasn’t raging nonstop or burying my fury.
It was learning to release it so it didn’t burn me up from the inside out.
If you are feeling completely overwhelmed by the current climate, remember that you can learn to release it before it consumes you.
Here's how I do it when I need to:
⚡ Let it out: Shake your hands, run, or blast music. Dance. Whatever you need to get it moving so it doesn't stay stuck.
🏜️ Take a walk or get in nature: Connect to something that is grounding (put away your phone for this part plz!)
🐞 It really is the little things: This is more about bringing in things that will make you feel centered in yourself.
🫶🏼 Find your community: We need each other right now cuz no one can be on fire 24/7. That's gonna lead straight to the exhaustion that helps this system thrive.
Not gonna lie, it's a bit of a rinse and repeat situation when you're in the thick of it like we are right now. And sometimes it's messy as hell. But knowing there's a way to cycle the energy out of your system is a huge win for mental health and well-being in times like this.
All I gotta say right now is to look out for each other and take good care of yourselves.
Make sure your people are doing the little things so the big things have the foundation they need. Let it move, let it act, then let it rest so it's there when you need it again.
The only thing left to say?
I stand with Jane Doe ✊🏼
