👞 Did you know we are one of Denmark’s oldest leather shops?
After the great fire of Copenhagen in 1728, Skindergade (“Leatherstreet”) was rebuilt as a home for the city’s craftsmen. Here, Leatherhouse took root in 1926, founded by Henning Amdrup Christensen – driven by a passion for skins, leather, and fine craftsmanship.
Through generations, the Amdrup family has carried on this tradition with respect for the material, the skills, and the hands behind the work. Our assortment has evolved over time, but our values remain the same.
In 2020, we opened our second store in Denmark – and in March 2026, we celebrate our 100-year anniversary. A full century of craftsmanship, knowledge, and love for leather 💛
