Lutris In The Trees Creative Soul - Sky Watcher - Tree Lover - Tree Grower - Chronic Pain Rollercoaster Rider - Designer

I am a jewellery designer & maker passionate about creating individual designs using precious metals & gemstones. I consult with my clients, spending time to understand what they want from their piece of jewellery so I can capture exactly what they wish for. After the initial consultation & design process I will paint four to six watercolour designs for you to choose from. Once you've chosen your

design I can start creating the piece, this process usually takes six to eight weeks depending on how intricate the design is. Your completed commission will be presented to you in a beautiful lacquer box. Alongside my current commission work I am also working on designs for unique collection pieces which will be available soon.

A nice little delivery today from
Having purchased a Sophora prostrata from them at Gardeners World Live last year, I’ve been building my wishlist from them.

Having whittled down a list of 37 (😬) I chose the following four (Left to Right)
1. Euonymus oxyphyllus - Korean Spindle
2. X Sycoparrotia semidecidua - Figazel Ironwood
3. Vitex agnus-castus - Chaste Tree
4. Drimys winteri - Winter’s Bark
5. (Free gift) Citrus trifoliata - Hardy Lemon/Japanese Bitter orange

We only have a small yard so these are an ideal start for me to tend to. Before working in the tree growing world I probably wouldn’t have considered buying smaller plants or shrub and tree seeds, but working at Rymer has really awakened a deep joy in growing from seed and young plants. Patience offers the greatest reward and there’s great satisfaction in nurturing something and watching it grow, plus I can get these into our back yard without too much concern about space…for now.

Excited to see how this random lot do over the next few months.

Ooof. I am missing old LV at the moment. It may have something do with the perpetual grey and rain here in the UK, whilst Latvia has been blanketed under snow for the last few weeks with the temp regularly down to -20 Celsius - a proper winter ❄️

This picture popped up in my photo memories the other day. One of my favourite trees in the city, less than a minute from where we lived. What a beauty it is in the snow with Vanšu tilts in the background.

Beautiful Gingko biloba hedge at Fullers Mill. I took this picture back in May - I’m now kicking myself for not thinking to visit in late autumn when the colour turned. A trip for next autumn most definitely.
I find this feature of the garden unexpected and almost whimsical - because of the way the hedge is being trained, but also its location, tucked along the river path, nestled in the shade. A really lovely way to grow Gingko.

A rather glorious afternoon yesterday after the fantastic launch of the report.
A privilege to be in the room for the launch of this incredibly important report produced by and looking to the future of It was great to be surrounded by industry leaders who believe in developing systems and support to strengthen the future of British Tree Nurseries
Plus of course the huge joy of it being held at RHS Wisley meant a late afternoon explore to see Autumn bursting into October with a riot of colour!

I am a jewellery designer & creator passionate about creating individual designs to be cherished and handed down the generations. When you choose to commission a Lutris jewellery creation, I will spend time discussing what you want from your piece of Lutris jewellery so I can create something completely personalised and unique to you. My bespoke work ranges from wedding and engagement rings, to statement cuffs and delicate necklaces, but no matter the piece, your Lutris creation is always filled with love and sentiment and your design is never repeated. Alongside Lutris commission work I create limited collection pieces, largely inspired by nature. Silhouettes are a big inspiration along with brightly coloured gemstones. I enjoy creating both bold statement pieces as well as more subtle everyday pieces. I continue to enjoy learning new techniques in jewellery making and have many ideas I hope to convey through future collections.
