This is Eman's tribute to Victor Vasarely.

Not only as an artist, but as a teacher. Vasarely didn't just make optical illusions, he taught people how to see them, one simple line, one repeated circle, until the trick reveals itself and you understand exactly how he did it.

That is the same principle Eman designs by. Simplicity that is readable, clear, honest at first glance, and quietly tricky underneath.

Trompe l'œil, French for "trick of the eye," is the term for art built to fool your perception, not just catch it.

Victor Vasarely built entire careers on this idea, using grids and repeating lines to make a flat, static surface feel like it was moving, where you stood changed what you saw.

This piece works the same way. The metal never moves. Only the shape you see does.

n 1937, Victor Vasarely made a piece called Zebra out of nothing but black and white lines, no outline, no shading. Just stripes bending and merging until your eye found the animal hiding inside them. It's widely considered one of the first Op Art works ever made.

Stripes were just the start. Over the following decades his vocabulary grew into circles, grids, and interlocking squares, all built on the same idea, bend how the eye sees.

Trompe l'œil collection is built on that same idea. A shape that isn't quite what it first looks like, metal cut precisely enough to trick the eye, not just catch the light.

Changeable, convertible, and interchangeable get used loosely for jewelry that isn't fixed in one shape. They are not the same mechanism.

Convertible pieces have parts that attach and detach. Our Connect pieces are interchangeable: two identical curves, complete alone, or worn joined when you want them together. Our Triangulate pieces are changeable: one solid, laser-cut piece that bends by hand into a new shape, no separate parts at all.

Most jewelry is made to hold one shape. The CHANEABLE jewelry is made to bend, by hand, into a different one each time.
Here Triangulate earrings,
It starts as one flat sheet of brass, laser-cut into seven triangles. That precision is what lets it fold, and because the fold can land on a different triangle each time, the metal never carries the same stress point twice.

Same logic Eman uses as an architect: spread the load, the structure holds.
