What do we call the internal features found within gemstones: "defects"? "Impurities"? 🧐

The correct term is inclusion. Contrary to popular belief, not all inclusions devalue a gemstone. They are like nature's fingerprints, providing crucial information on the gemstone’s history and character!

From quartzs to emeralds, discover why inclusions matter with Caroline Boneti, Gemologist and Lecturer at L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts.

What if a sword became the mirror of a life?

In 1971, Jean Vendome, a pioneer of contemporary jewelry, forged the emblematic Academician’s Sword for the French writer Roger Caillois.

Blue tourmaline from Brazil, an octopus of Bohemian garnets, a constellation of diamonds and moldavite… Each stone represents a memory, transforming matter into a narrative.

Discover this Sword from the collections of Musée des Confluences within the exhibition "Stones and Reveries: The Poetry and Minerals of Roger Caillois."

Extend the exploration of its secrets during the panel discussion "Roger Caillois' Academician's Sword by Jean Vendome" held on March 3rd in Paris, with Pr.
