I’m still working on this piece—hands are always harder than you’d expect. I wanted to show a mother and child because it’s something I understand. I highlighted milk flowing from the breast to capture that connection between a mother’s body and her baby after birth. There’s something sacred about the way milk flows in response to a baby’s cry—not mechanistic, I’m interested in getting to our humanity. -painting
