🌈 Introducing our VP label Bagnum for 2026!

🍷 Vinos Pingüinos ‘Cool Counoise’ 1.5 Liter Bagnum collab with RAM Cellars

📍 Columbia Valley > Washington

🍇 Counoise, 2023

When our friend Viv Kennedy of RAM Cellars asked if we wanted to do a small batch collab, we said, “what would it look like if a penguin and a ram made sweet love?” Thus, ‘Cool Counoise’ Ramgüin Rouge was born. 100% Couinoise from Bosma Vineyard, this is 1.5 Liters of pure liquid bliss. A chillable, delicious red that is unbelievably drinkable. This wine bag can last a whole month in your fridge, or a single day tubing with some friends on a hot summer afternoon. Get it while you can, this limited edition wine is not available anywhere else, and is the result of what happens when q***r people dream together and support one another. Artwork by our friend Elena Zubowicz.

🌍 Strawberries, a gentle ocean breeze, dried fig, lavender, and rosemary greet the nose, while just under-ripe blackberries, brambles, grapefruit pith, ripe pear skin, violets, and a hint of salinity await in glass. This bagnum also has an 80% carbon footprint reduction compared to glass. Cheers to that!

🏳️‍⚧️ Take this bag-o-wine camping, beaching, backpacking, or throw it in a cooler at that BBQ you were invited to - you cannot go wrong! Enjoy while vigorously defending trans-rights.

When we were in the Bay Area a few weeks ago, we drove out to Sonoma for a day to continue to explore one of our favorite wine regions. We got the red carpet treatment at Littorai - a small, family owned winery who produces world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (and a little bit of Chenin) from the coastal mountains of Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.

On their biodynamic estate, they have an incredible display about their farming practices in an old barn, featuring fertilizer tea in progress, chamomile drying out in the most aromatic room you can imagine, and rocks/cats from their vineyard.

It was really cool to see the biodynamic preparations in progress! The estate features a vine nursery, a compost pile with a window, and hillsides billowing with grape trellising. We were treated to a delightful tasting of their wines afterwards.

Many thanks to & for letting me crash. These guys were my instructors in wine school and it’s such an honor to join them as colleagues in the field.

🍷 Jané Ventura “ Vole del Mar” Vinyes Blanques

🍇 Xarel-lo 70%, Muscat 15%, Sauvignon Blanc 10%, Malvasia de Sitges 5% 2024

🇪🇸 Penedès > Catalunya > Spain

Certified organic still white made by Jané Ventura from Baix Penedès, influenced by the Mediterranean, mineral presence, and plantings of local herbs. A salty and aromatic wine from 80+ year old vines, dry farmed, hand harvested. Fermentation in stainless tank, aged on the lees for 4 months before bottling. A perfect summer wine to remind you of that beach vacation you need to book.

In the glass, the wine is a pale gold with aromatics that evoke the vivid Mediterranean coast - salty with layers of chamomile, white orchard blossoms, white peach, lime zest, and sea fennel. On the palate, the wine is crisp and structured, with a finish that is mineral, citrusy, and dry, with persistent tension and a lingering note of citrus peel. Tinned fish, fresh seafood, all the wonders of the ocean are perfect pairings even if it’s just a beach picnic with friends in the sun.

We acquired the last few bottles of this absolute gem, in Seattle. Only available at our online shop. We loved visiting the stunning winery back in 2023. A true volcanic wonder of a wine!

🍷 Tenuta di Castellaro ‘Nero Ossidiana’

🇮🇹 Lipari > Sicily > IT

🍇 Corinto, Nero d’Avola, 2019

Lipari is one of the Aeolian islands located 24 miles off the northern coast of Sicily. Archeological digs have unearthed items that show this island was inhabited in 5,000 B.C. One can only imagine the history here. Obsidian, the quintessential volcanic stone, gives its name to this wine that perfectly balances the beautiful acidity and elegance of Corinto Nero with the soft warmth of Nero d’Avola. Nero Ossidiana expresses all the typicity of a land that is both volcanic and maritime, representing the union between the island and the sea. This is the first great red wine of the Aeolian Islands, the volcanoes of Sicily in a glass. All organic grapes.

🍷 Libertine ‘Gradient Vineyard’ Skin-Contact Chard

📍Willamette Valley > Oregon > USA

🍇 Chardonnay, 2022

The ultimate wine weirdos - Alex and Veronica Neely, embody the Oregon spirit of fearlessness and ruthless experimentation. Meet their chardonnay, beautiful fruit coming from a cooler site in Willamette Valley. Approachable, even with 30+ days skin contact, whole cluster, fermented in neutral oak, unfined and unfiltered. A true raw beauty, a sunset in a glass.

Alex Neely takes a philosophical approach to wine. He sees himself as a shepherd who guides the grapes along their journey of controlled spoilage. More often than not, the wine decides its own character as he does not pigeonhole them into some preconceived notion of what he imagines they should be. He alters his basic winemaking techniques to adapt to each particular and unique vintage. Therefore, none of his wines taste the same. The only consistency is inconsistency, much like life itself. Also of note, Alex ran for mayor and is frequently seen defending his neighbors in Portland’s St. John ‘hood from ICE. To this we wholeheartedly cheers.

From our recent club release featuring wines from and inspired by Bourgogne, we bring you Grape Ink’s Aligoté.

🍷 Grape Ink ‘Impressions’

🍇 Aligoté 2024

📍 Tualatin Hills > Willamette Valley > OR

We had a wonderful time visiting winemaker and vigneron - Jarad Hadi, at his home farm and vineyard. Jarad does almost everything himself, along with a few alpacas. He has about seven acres planted to vine - Chardonnay, Savignin, Pinot, Mondeuse, and Trousseau. In the cellar, he is intuitive, letting the wines take their own shape without manipulation. Lots of witchy looking experimentation in glass containers. It was really amazing to better understand his process and his very rebellious philosophy around wine. His wines are a little wild but in a god way, complex, thought provoking, and dialed in.

With his Aligoté, he explores a pure expression of Aligoté, a lesser known white varietal from Burgundy, but starting to become more popular in the Valley. He sources the fruit from a neighboring organic farm he helped plant, and from there the artistry begins with native ferment, then elaboration in neutral barriques and glass demijohns. The wine remains in contact with the lees for 8 months, grounding it in texture and high amounts of pleasure.

🍷 Prunelle de Navacelle Beaujolais-Lantignié

🇫🇷 Lantignié > Beaujolais > France

🍇 Gamay, 2022

Prunelle de Navacelle is a trailblazing vigneronne in the emerging Beaujolais-Lantignié region, which will surely be the next cru. Her Lantignié is made from three 80-year-old Gamay parcels, planted in pink granite and clay at 400m, fermented with native yeasts, and produced with respect to her natural principles, without fining or filtration. The result is authentic, elegant, and transparent. Very elegant and structured, almost Burgundian in style, this is a wonderful companion at the dinner table, and will make your head spin with delight.

One of the gems from our current club release!

We’re excited to announce our spring Waddle wine club release! 6 bottles of beautiful wine delivered to your door.

With seemingly the world in chaos, wouldn’t it be nice to escape somewhere? Maybe there’s a place where things are just pure, elegant, and simple? Wine has always had a mystical capacity to unburden humans from care, and this spiritual arc cements most elaborately with the French region of Bourgogne, aka Burgundy. This famous hillside is where our favorite fermented elixir will transport us to in our next release. We’ll explore the history, terroir, and the most noble grape varieties Pinot Noir & Chardonnay, with a splash of Gamay and Aligoté in the mix, plus so much more!

Deliveries in Seattle will be on the weekend of April 3-5, with nationwide shipping to follow.
