This pair of theatre opera glasses by Maison Cartier, made around 1906, reflects the refinement and elegance of the Belle Époque.

From the 1870s onward, theatre glasses were much more than a practical accessory: they accompanied evenings at the opera or theatre and added a truly elegant touch to formal attire.

At the time, Maison Cartier offered its clientele refined and precious objects, often chosen as charming gifts.

Admire the finesse of the guilloché work, the delicacy of the rose-cut diamond setting, and the harmony of an object that beautifully combines function, jewellery craftsmanship and decorative art. A true marvel.
