The Reading Festival at Aylsham High

The Reading Festival at Aylsham High 30th April 2016. King Arthur themed family day out at Aylsham High School with craft workshops, Kevin Crossley-Holland and plenty of books! For ages 4-11.

The Reading Festival at Aylsham High has been created to promote a love of reading in young people and bring the community together with a host of fantastic authors for a fun-filled day of creative activities! Entry is free, with plenty to do to fill the day with fun. In 2015 you can take part in two workshops: make your own dragon and learn how to train it in the How To Train Your Dragon workshop

; or make a viking shield and sword and learn about viking warfare in our Viking Warrior workshop. All workshops will take place in the main building and last two hours. Children will get a take home pack. Workshop places are £3.00 per child. There will be plenty of free activities: you can create your own Viking jewellery; make your own clay dragon just like those in Chris D'Lacey's world in the Last Dragon Chronicles; create rune doorsigns and print a new PE bag; or make fire breathing dragons of you own; and don't forget to have your photo taken with Toothless and Hiccup!
