PSNI RELEASE STATEMENT ON GARVAGHY TERROR THREAT AHEAD OF COURT ON MONDAY

The video of McKenna openly talking about confiscating petrol bombs has been widely viewed to the point even most Republican activists no longer deny it
Talk of illegal guns in the illegal protest has been published widely in the last few days and this prompted the statement from PSNI
What the statement doesn't do is deny the talk.
What the statement doesn't do is lift the veil of doubt for all sides of the community.
For if there were indeed armed IRA there then it opens a Pandoras box most virtue signalling protesters would rather remained closed, that if true they supported an armed illegal blockade disguised as a "sing song" to stop their neighbours walking a road in silence.
It will also be a massive blow for Sinn Feins PR machine.
For the PSNI are clearly saying they pose a risk.
They haven't gone away.
And many may have been duped to stand in the middle of a road.
