Liver of Sulphur allows you to create a range of oxidised finishes on silver, giving you more flexibility over the final result compared to ready-to-use Platinol.

💧 How to mix: Start with 1 tsp per 355ml of hot water.

🎨 Adjust the ratio and the time you leave your piece in the solution to achieve different shades and effects.

🫧 Don’t forget: Rinse your piece in a baking soda and water mixture to help neutralise the reaction.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make all the difference! ✨

Here are 3 tips to help your emery rolls last as long as possible 👇

1. Make the most of every roll
Once the outer abrasive surface is worn, don’t peel away the paper. Instead, use a craft knife to cut as close to the edge as possible, allowing you to use as much of the roll as you can.

2. Keep it secure
Ever had your emery roll spin out of control? 😅 Make sure it’s securely fitted all the way into your handpiece before you start working.

3. Check the direction and speed
Make sure your emery roll is spinning in the correct direction, rather than against it, to prevent the paper from unrolling. Keep your speed under control, too — never exceed 8,000 RPM.

👓 Safety first! Always wear appropriate eye protection when polishing. Better safe than sorry!
