Family jewellery isn’t just metal.

Before anything is melted, there are conversations. Decisions. Memories.

Bella chose to reimagine two family rings into jewellery she could wear every day, honouring the people and stories behind them while creating something new for her own future.

Watching gold melt can feel emotional, but nothing is truly lost.

The gold simply changes form.

From rings once worn by loved ones, to tiny orbs ready for their next chapter.

Not everything should be melted down.

Among the pieces Bella and her family brought to me was her grandmas wedding band. Beautifully engraved and full of history, it was a piece that deserved to remain exactly as it was.

Jewellery holds memories of the people who orbit our lives. While some pieces begin a new chapter, others deserve to continue their story unchanged.

Part of my role isn't simply creating new jewellery, it's helping families honour the past while looking to the future.

A bag of jewellery can hold far more than gold.

When Bella and her family came to me, they brought pieces collected over generations,

As we sorted through them, we considered not only what these pieces could become, but also what should remain untouched.
