Right, mountain people… I need you!!! ⛰️
My fingers are twitching to make some more mountains, and although I personally already have a fairly long list 🙃, I want to know what YOU would like to see next.

I’ve put together a small selection of the mountains and landscapes I’ve made so far, to give you some inspiration.

So tell me…
Which mountain should I make next?
I’m listening. 👇
Scottish mountain and landscape jewellery, handmade on the Isle of Arran in silver and gold. Topography, skylines and familiar places from across Scotland and beyond.

Watching Katy and the COAST team bring the CATS project to life over the past two years, and seeing people become genuinely curious about what’s beneath the surface, has been pretty special. It also gave me the final nudge to create a piece I’ve wanted to make for a long time.💙

What I’ve really loved is the way they share their knowledge without telling people what to think. Just showing people what’s there, letting them ask questions, get involved and understand a little more about the sea around them.

For me, it’s been another reminder of just how special these seagrass meadows and our community is.

Seagrass, Zostera marina, captured in sterling silver.

🌿The first necklace is now available at the COAST Discovery Centre in Lamlash, with more coming to the website soon.

And a big thank you to Katy, Euan, Lucy and Isla for always making me feel welcome on board and for sharing so much of what you about the sea.🌊

Ailsa Craig, the little island thats got an outline that doesn’t need much introduction. If you know it… you know it!

I’ve captured that familiar shape in silver, so many of us west coasties know so well. Using a photo I took from a day trip on the Waverley, it was fun bringing those sheer cliffs and distinctive outline to life.

Interestingly, this piece is often bought by, or for people called Ailsa too, which always makes me smile, because usually....they are named after the island.
Full circle love there. 🥰
This silver necklace is for anyone with a soft spot for Ailsa Craig...or even simply named Ailsa. 😉
Available on the website. If sold out, you can email me or message on this post and ill get one made up for you. 😘

This one is for the women who are always ready. Wetsuit nearby. Sea on the brain. Easily persuaded.

You are exactly who I make jewellery for.
You are my kinda woman🫶🌊⛰️
Thanks to another one of my seasters Kirsty, for always being ready.💙

Glen Rosa, carved in silver.

A bespoke wedding ring capturing that familiar Arran skyline, made for a couple with their own connection to the island.
One place. One ring. Completely personal to them.
This is what I love about making Scottish landscape jewellery. Taking a place someone knows and loves, and capturing its lines in silver.
Handmade on the Isle of Arran, Scotland.
*I’m not taking bespoke orders at this moment.

Blackwaterfoot really does excel at beach design. (A bit of a photo dump tonight.)

I headed down to the big beach this morning for a choppy snorkel with my friend Jo.
New (ish) camera at the ready and still figuring it out, but so good to get the head under the water and see the wee critters.🤿

I also headed went down in the evening with the dogs. As the sun was getting low in the sky, some really gorgeous shadows start forming...all those patterns in the sand and rocks-exquisite

Not a bad way to bookend a day...especially the Autumn Equinox.

I’m far more interested in the Scottish outdoors than trends. Its probably the MacDonald in me 😉

Choppy waves, windy hills, Scottish Islands and their ever changing weather. Extraordinary wildlife, muddy boots, cold water and the places outside we just cant get enough of... You know the ones.

That’s the life behind what I create.
By Sea, By Land.

Made on the Isle of Arran for you amazing inspirational people who get why Scotland’s mountains, islands, sea and wild outdoors are much needed for our sanity 😘⛰️🌊🌿

Arran, that scottish island that gets under your skin...and probably why most of you follow my page. 💙

I know it pretty well now- from the ferry, from the hills, from the water, from dog walks and days spent staring at the coast. I’ve lived with this landscape for so long and yet I still keep noticing new bits of it, Im still in awe. 🥹
I suppose it was inevitable that so much of Arran would end up in my work. 😆

And if Arran is your island too, I bet you’ll know exactly what I mean. It's a special part of Scotland.
Isle of Arran necklace in sterling silver. Available in the Iconic Isles collection on the website. Link in bio.

🦈 WINNER ANNOUNCED 🦈

Lauren and Chris from Shark & Skate Scotland , and myself, just want to say a massive thank you for getting involved in the giveaway. The support has been brilliant. 💙 Winner announced below.

But, genuinely, the biggest win for us, is just getting people talking about Flapper Skate!! 😍

Here's one more fact for you about the beautiful Flapper Skate. It used to be classed as the 'common skate', but they're actually now recognised as their own distinct species. The "common" name has stuck around though, and it's a bit misleading. They were once genuinely common in our waters, went into serious decline, and are now slowly recovering thanks to protections in place here in Scotland. Still a long way to go, but it's moving the right direction.

So keep asking questions, keep being curious. Whether that's following .scot or just having a nosey into these animals yourself, every bit of understanding helps them get better protected. 🦈💙

💛And, of course our lovely winner is Lucie Kennedy 💛

Ill be in touch soon. 🫶
