Since starting sharing my progression with my inlay rings I've had several other sellers of rings pop on my feed, with huge price tags exceeding several hundred pounds. With selling points of handcrafted by artisans and exotic materials like Opal etc. And it's bull tbh, they use Bello Opal for a start which is grown in a lab and nothing like the real thing which is a lot more expensive. They use titanium, stainless steel, ceramic and tungsten and state this is expensive. Again bull, I use the same for a fraction of the cost. There's a company selling plain bands of stainless and titanium again at massively inflated prices, £165 for a 4mm wide plain Stainless steel band wth 😳. The cost of the materials is pennies and they take minutes to make, and quite frankly look boring as hell. And if they can deliver the next day but claim it's custom hand made well that just tells you it's a load of lies...
So what am I saying? Basically shop around, buy from the smaller independent jewelry makers. Check they use authentic materials and your not being ridiculously overcharged for mass produced tat. And understand that hand crafted custom pieces take a week or 2 to make and get shipped to you.
