Happy birthday, Scorpios! ♏

Though not Scorpio's birthstones, amethyst and moonstone are seen as complementary crystals for this star sign.

Amethyst for its calming, balancing energy and moonstone for its grounding and revitalising energy that helps Scorpios stay resilient in the face of challenges and transformation.

I use both stones in the 'Beneath the Stars' series - so you can take the night sky with you wherever you go. 🌃

This sweet little silver star and crescent moon necklace - the "little sister" of my large statement pendants from the 'Beneath the Stars' collection - has been sent to its new home earlier this month.

There will be one more prize draw this year, in early December, to win its sister necklace with a brass star, just in time for Christmas!

Every piece tells a story

As a jewellery maker living by the sea, at some point you'll turn your attention to things you find at the beach.

That's how Silver Beach was born - a collection of unique pieces telling stories of the sea:

🐚 Shards of green sea glass smoothed and frosted by the waves for decades, encased in sterling silver.
🐚 A sphere of orange sea glass in a claw setting, resembling a small crab running across the sand.
🐚 A pebble shaped like a sailing ship that is being pulled under by the silvery tentacles of a giant kraken.

Happy birthday to all Virgos!

Although not the main birthstone for this star sign, the beautiful, intense royal blue lapis lazuli is closely connected to Virgo.

Lapis lazuli has been used to make jewellery for thousands of years, from ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt to the present day. Across cultures, lapis has been seen as a symbol of wisdom, truth and spiritual insight. It's also connected to the throat chakra.

If you are an overthinker, like me, it might just help to cut through the noise to get some mental clarity.

Whether you believe in the meaning of crystals or not, this beautiful pair of earrings or crescent moon pendant enhanced with round lapis lazuli cabochons might make the perfect birthday gift for a Virgo you know...

I was distracted by summer solstice celebrations and a heatwave and missed your first dates ... 🌞
