This heirloom is over 100 years old.

It came to me broken and squashed out of shape, cracked all the way through the shank from metal fatigue. Previous repairs had replaced the stone with one that didn't fit, and replaced the lower shank where it had had worn through.
So I got it round again, resized it slightly, fixed the break, and kept all the original gold. To protect the precious stone while I worked the heat... an old sweetcorn tin filled with water.
That's handmade restoration. Ordinary tools, extraordinary care. Every piece has a story.

What makes handmade faith jewellery truly special?

This is my older son. We made this together. We melted some scraps of silver into an ingot, hammered, rolled, fused, filed and shaped it into a cross. My son designed the whole shape, and size and details such as no jump ring but a hole on a flatter section.

Every piece at I AM a Child of God starts with a simple idea and a lot of prayer. From the first sketch to the final polish, we pour time, skill, and love into every item—no computers, just hands and hearts working together. Our family workshop is where stories are shared, designs passionately debated, mistakes are learned from, and each piece is carefully crafted to help you quietly embrace your faith.
