A week in the life of a trainee jeweller ✨

My name is Rebecca and I joined Woods Jewellers last September. Before that, I spent a year at the Birmingham School of Jewellery studying Jewellery and Silversmithing. After completing my first year, I was looking for an opportunity to develop my skills further and gain hands on experience in a working workshop.

Everyone at Woods has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, and I’ve learned so much already. This video shows just a few of the jobs I’ve been working on recently, from workshop tasks to jewellery repairs and making.

I’ve also been working on a couple of exciting bespoke commissions, but you’ll have to wait a little longer to see those… they’re top secret for now! 👀💎
